Finnish Producers Met with Largo.ai
In a workshop that was organised by Audiovisual Producers Finland – APFI, we presented Largo.ai for Finnish producers. We showed how the tool can be used by the Finnish Film Industry and presented an overview of the industry by aggregating the data from the Finnish movies that have been analysed by our system.
From many interesting insights that we have found, we share one of them here:
The table above shows the correlation of movie genres with the box office revenue. Comedy has the highest correlation with a high box office revenue while Thriller has the highest negative correlation. Although high amount of drama is showing a slight negative correlation, there is a sharp increase in the amount of drama in Finnish films within the last 5 years. This is a good example of how the industry is moving slightly in the opposite of the audience interest for the drama genre in Finland.
