Largo Helps Fast-Track $25 Million Financing for Daniel Berghoff’s Nostradamus Mission

Demonstrating How Audience Intelligence Can Accelerate Independent Film Financing at the Cannes Film Festival

CANNES, FRANCE — May 2026 — Producer Daniel Berghoff has secured $25 million in financing for the feature film Nostradamus Mission, achieving a major milestone only months after beginning development and audience analysis with Largo.

The rapid financing momentum highlights a growing shift within independent filmmaking toward combining strong creative vision with early audience validation and market intelligence. During development, Nostradamus Mission utilized Largo’s AI-powered simulated focus group technology to evaluate audience response, commercial positioning, and international appeal — helping accelerate investor conversations by providing data-backed indicators of audience demand and financial potential.

According to the production team, the simulated focus group became a critical tool in helping investors quickly understand the project’s commercial viability, emotional audience resonance, and global market positioning at an earlier stage than is traditionally possible for independent films.

“In today’s market, financing often moves slowly because investors are being asked to take creative leaps without enough visibility into audience potential,” said Daniel Berghoff. “Largo helped us fast-track those conversations by giving investors tangible audience insights and confidence in the project’s marketability within months of using the platform.”

The simulated focus group provided insight into how targeted audiences emotionally responded to the film’s concept, themes, and positioning, allowing the team to present financing partners with audience-backed analysis alongside the screenplay and creative materials.

Nostradamus Mission is a high-concept international thriller exploring the enduring mystery of Nostradamus through a contemporary lens. Designed for global audiences, the film blends historical intrigue with contemporary stakes, supported by a strategy focused on audience alignment and distribution potential from the earliest stages of development.

As artificial intelligence and emerging production technologies continue reshaping the entertainment industry, Nostradamus Mission reflects a growing movement toward using predictive audience insights to support — rather than replace — creative decision-making and financing strategy.

Developed in collaboration with Largo, the project integrated audience analytics and market intelligence throughout development to strengthen financing discussions, refine positioning, and identify potential global audience segments before entering the marketplace.

“Strong storytelling will always be the foundation,” said Sami Arpa, CEO of Largo. “But when filmmakers can demonstrate audience demand and commercial potential early in the process, it can significantly accelerate financing and reduce uncertainty for investors. That’s where simulated audience testing can provide meaningful value.”

Industry conversations increasingly highlight that many independent films struggle not because of a lack of technology, but because investors and distributors often lack clear visibility into audience demand at early stages of development. In response, Nostradamus Mission was structured from the outset to align creative ambition with market strategy — helping bridge the gap between development, financing, and eventual distribution.

With financing secured, Nostradamus Mission now moves into final packaging, with casting discussions and key creative attachments underway. The team will engage with international sales agents, distributors, and co-production partners throughout the Cannes Film Festival.
